The eye of the beholder

 

The smartphone has become an essential part of our daily lives. It has become the icon of the times in which we live. Not only news and messages appears on the screen, the phone itself can produce news. More often the phone is the first witness of the most terrible events, and generates our view and our news.

The smartphone as an iconic “part of existence” that we hold in our hands daily. Through the hole in the cover of the smartphone we see and register the whole world. It is our view onto the world and the times in which we live.

I have fixated iconic news stories in a technique that will preserve them for  thousands of years to come; glazed ceramics.
